Our expertly crafted training programmes are designed to bring out the best in all our players.

There is a curriculum for casual players who want to stay fit, those who want to learn a new sport, or those seeking to become professional players.

Foundation A

This program is designed for children between the ages of 4 and 9 who are new to badminton.

Goals: To teach the fundamentals of badminton, including:

​

Basic strokes

  • Forehand, backhand, net shots, clears, proper grip, serving & return techniques

Footwork

  • Ready position, shuffling

Rules and scoring​

  • Scoring for singles and doubles games, service/receiving, faults

General Physical Conditioning

  • Warm-ups and cool-downs, endurance, hand-eye coordination

Sportsmanship and Teamwork

Foundation B

This program is designed for older children (10+ years) and adults who are new to badminton.

Goals: To teach the fundamentals of badminton, including:

Basic strokes

  • Forehand, backhand, net shots, clears, proper grip, serving & return techniques

Footwork

  • Ready position, shuffling

Rules and scoring​

  • Scoring for singles and doubles games, service/receiving, faults

General Physical Conditioning

  • Warm-ups and cool-downs, endurance, hand-eye coordination

Sportsmanship and Teamwork

Intermediate A

This programme is designed for children and adults who have previously attended badminton training sessions.

Goals: To teach the proper movement, focusing on skill development (body coordination) and physical training.

Key Strokes

  • Backhand drive, forehand drive, simple smash, forehand serve

Essential Footwork

  • Serve, high-clear, drop shots, net play, lift smash, drive

Physical Conditioning

  • Endurance, resistance training, flexibility, speed, power

Court Play Fundamentals

  • Scoring, service/receiving, faults, etiquette, sportsmanship

Intermediate B

This programme is designed for children and adults who have previously attended badminton training sessions.

  • Scoring for singles and doubles games

  • Service/receiving

  • Faults

  • On-court etiquette and sportsmanship

Advanced

This programme is designed for players who want to become professional badminton players or for those who want to compete in local and international competitions

Goals: To improve and advance player techniques​

Key Strokes

  • Tactical strokes: Agility and speed, lateral motion

Essential Footwork

  • Serve: High-clear, drop shots, net play, lift, smash, drive

Physical Conditioning

  • Endurance, resistance training, flexibility, speed, power

Fundamental Court Play Rules

  • Scoring for singles and doubles games

  • Service and receiving

  • Faults

  • On-court etiquette and sportsmanship
